Host Hotels

The WAHO 2019 Conference Australia has an ambitious schedule of activities planned for attendees. As such, several host hotels have been secured to accommodate international guests at the various locations around Australia & New Zealand where Conference, tourism & Arabian horse activities are planned.

On your Registration Forms, please indicate your hotel preferences at each location: Sydney (Pre-Conference Tours), Terrigal (WAHO Conference Host Hotel), Muswellbrook (Hunter Valley Post-Conference Tour), and the Post-Conference Tours in Victoria, Queensland & New Zealand. Your selection of room preference should include, where applicable, the Room Type, Bed Type and Shared Preference.

Please be aware that ALL accommodation in an official Conference Host Hotel includes breakfast, Wi-fi and all applicable taxes in the quoted rates, unless otherwise noted.

The WAHO 2019 Conference Australia is pleased to partner with the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific as the main Conference venue hotel. The Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific will not only host the WAHO 2019 Conference General Sessions & social activities, but will also serve as ONLY the official host hotel for accommodation. Given the intimate setting of Terrigal Village and the close proximity of all local accommodation to the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific, those Conference attendees that choose not to stay at the host hotel but prefer to make their own hotel reservations will be responsible to organise transport to/from their local accommodation to the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific for all WAHO Conference sessions & social activities. We welcome your enquiries about alternative accommodation in Terrigal and will be happy to offer advice to suit to your budget.

International guests who choose to arrive early to take advantage of the Pre-Conference Tours & Activities in Sydney & the surrounding regions of New South Wales may choose from three host hotel options offered by WAHO 2019 Conference Partner Accor Hotels. Three accommodation options are available in the vibrant Darling Harbour precinct. WAHO attendees may choose the venue that best suits their budget and tourism plans while staying in Sydney for all pre-conference activities & tour excursions. Please note that all hotel pick-ups for pre-conference tours operated by AATKings Tour Group are scheduled from the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour. Both the Hotel Ibis Sydney Darling Harbour & the Hotel Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour are in close walking distance to the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour, allowing easy access for tour pick-up & drop-off.

All three Sydney Pre-Conference host hotels operate under the globally respected brand of Accor Hotels, whose loyalty programme, Le Club AccorHotels, provides benefits and rewards to members. The Remington | Hunter Valley

International guests are encouraged to extend their stay after the main WAHO General Assembly & Gala Dinner have concluded to discover the heart of the continent's equine industry in the Upper Hunter Valley. Australia's Horse Capital, in & around the historic rural NSW town of Scone, is home to several of the leading Arabian & Thoroughbred studs in the country. On Saturday & Sunday, immediately post-conference on the 9th & 10th of February, stud visits are planned for the leading equine operations in the area, as well as lunch at local wineries, with a few added attractions along the way. The centrally located town of Muswellbrook, birthplace of the world famous Australian Cattle Dog, is the ideal location to overnight on Saturday night in the Upper Hunter, close to the all the major attractions and scheduled stops, while allowing for minimal transport time each day. 

The host hotel for Tour HV is The Remington, a next-generation hotel & motor inn providing 4.5 star service and 54 luxurious king suites. A rural gem, The Remington offers superior service, country sophistication, and a touch of luxury rarely found outside the city, as well as Muswellbrook’s finest dining destination - The Remington Restaurant - the dinner venue for Saturday evening (not included with the post-conference tour fee)

Following the final stud visit on Sunday, the coach will head back to Sydney stopping at the charming Wyong Milk Factory Tavern for dinner (not included with the post-conference tour fee). The overnight host hotel for all guests on Sunday 10th February will be the Mercure Sydney International Airport, allowing for easy access on Monday to flight connections to further Post-Conference tours in Victoria, Queensland & New Zealand, more tourism options in Australasia and/or return trips home.
